Curriculum

STATISTICS

Statistics is diverse, engaging and essential in equipping students with the right skills to reach their future destination, whatever that may be. The study of Statistics develops skills that students will use in other subjects such as Science and Geography, and reinforces techniques needed across Mathematics. Real-life scenarios will capture student interest and give an insight into the importance of statistics in the real world. Our aim is to enable students to build a secure framework of reasoning, which they can use and apply with confidence. Our curriculum allows students to develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of statistical methods and concepts. We set challenging targets in conjunction with high expectations for all students; targets which we hope to achieve through a variety of teaching and learning practices to engage and motivate students.
